Besenova

The Besenova swimming pool is located in the picturesque environment of the Chocske vrchy (hills), Nizke Tatry a Velka Fatra, 12 km away from the town of Ruzomberok. Besenova is a spa which came into being thanks to its curative hot springs with the temperature of 62° C, welling up from the depth of 1980 m. The temperature of water in the pools is 36-40°C depending on the season. Mineral water has beneficial effects on human organism, namely on locomotory and urological organs, and respiratory organs. It has also significant cosmetic effects.
 
The Besenova swimming pool is open for the public all the year round, in winter months as well, when it provides a unique experience with a view of the surrounding snow covered mountain peaks. Apart from swimming you can enjoy relaxation massage here, also other services for active recreation and regeneration are provided.

Cajka Swimming Pool, Bojnice

The Cajka summer swimming pool is situated in a beautiful setting in the vicinity of the Bojnice Castle and the Bojnice ZOO. The swimming pool site has the area of 48000m2 with the capacity 3150 persons. During the season in three pools (one for swimmers with the dimension of 50x22 m, two for children with the dimensions of 12x8, 8x8 m) there is clear thermal water with temperature from 26 to 33° C.

Visitors to the swimming pool area can also find here a water slide, sand pit and air jumping bed for children, volleyball court, swings and many other areas for recreation. Personal things and clothes can be put into changing rooms the use of which is free. The refreshment stalls provide a wide choice of food and beverages and frozen products.

Kovacova

The Kovacova thermal swimming pool is located in the valley of the Hron river on the eastern foot of the Kremnicke pohorie (hills), 5 km from the town of Zvolen. Visitors can find here an attractive environment, pools for swimmers, for non-swimmers and children, sportsgrounds for sports and games, and sufficient number of refreshment and catering facilities.

Changing rooms, lavatories, family changing rooms, loungers for sun-bathing, massage are to your disposal, and for children there is a 90 m long helter-skelter. In the sportsground area you can play table tennis, minigolf, beach volleyball, minitennis, minifootball, handball. In the open-air fitness area you can also use a stationary bike. The nature environment of the Kovacova thermal swimming pool offers opportunities for interesting mountain hikes and walks. Not very far from the swimming pool there are Sliac and Kovacova spas, and historical towns Zvolen, Banska Bystrica, Kremnica, Banska Stiavnica.

Margita - Ilona, Levice

The Margita-Ilona swimming pool is located in the town of Levice. In the area of the swimming pool there are two laminated pools („Adam“ - 50x21 m and „Tereza“ - 25x12 m). The pools are operated by using the most advanced technology on the basis of constant water circulation through the treating unit. The pool „Ilona“, 50 - 60 cm deep, is suitable for smaller children, and the pool „Eva“ (50x21 m) can be used by good swimmers.

All pools are filled with thermal water with the temperature of 25° C which contains mineral salts. Several fast-food stalls and a restaurant in the swimming pools area provide refreshment and meals all day long. The town of Levice and its surroundings provide an opportunity to make the stay of visitors more interesting. You can visit the Levice Castle and the exhibition of the Tekovske Museum there, also the stone dwelling in Brhlovce and the water mill in Bohunice.

Nove Zamky Thermal Swimming Pool

The Nove Zamky thermal swimming pool is situated in an attractive natural setting at Bezrucova Street in Nove Zamky in southern Slovakia. (State road No. 75 in the direction Dvory nad Zitavou). The overall character of the swimming pool area which is a good place for recuperation, relaxation and sport is enhanced by landscaping. In order to refresh themselves in summer hot weather visitors can use 50 and 25 m pool, recreation pool, three children´s pools, a 100,5 long helter-skelter with a pool. For those who want to combine sunbathing and some exercise there are sportsgrounds where you can pursue: minigolf, volleyball, football and basketball, tennis, table tennis, bowling with automatic service, giant chess. Refreshment and fast food services are provided in 15 stalls with a rich supply of hot dishes, beverages of all kinds, sweets and savouries. The swimming pool is in operation during the summer months of June-July-August. In July and August cultural and sports events are organised featuring well-known pop singers, humorists, pop groups playing dance tunes which you can listen or dance to.

Veronika Thermal Swimming Pool, Rajec

Rajec is situated 22 km southwest from the town of Zilina. The Veronika swimming pool is located at the edge of the town in the direction Rajec-Povazska Bystrica on the right hand side. In the pools area there are seven pools (1x50 m, 2x25 m, one of them is an indoor pool, 1 pool 8x12 m, for children, 2 children´s pools with slides and a helter-skelter, 1 pool for very small children).

Sturovo

 
Sturovo offers to visitors two thermal swimming pools. The swimming pool I is situated on the meadow called Vadas in the town of Sturovo. The part of the swimming pool area are solariums with the total area of 6000m2, the helter-skelter and grass areas, shaded and sunny, suitable for recreational sports. In the entrance area there is a parking space with the capacity of 400 cars. The nearby lake with the area of almost 2 ha can be used for recreational purposes, as well as four tennis courts, minigolf, table tennis, autodrom and motor boats.

The thermal swimming pool II can be found near the Danube river at Artezska Street. On the area of more than 1,2 ha there is a pool for non-swimmers with the dimensions of 25x21 m which is 80-130 cm deep and water´s temperature is 30° C. The season traditionally begins on 10 May and ends on 10 September. The catering establishments provide a wide assortment of meals and beverages.

„Zelena Zaba“ Swimming Pool, Trencianske Teplice

 
The surroundings of the spa town of Trencianske Teplice offers a great opportunity for summer recreation. Those who are fond of bathing and swimming will enjoy the thermal water pool „Zelena Zaba“, which is said to be the most highly situated thermal pool in Central Europe. Its 33 m long swimming pool is cut in the rock in the sunny part of the wood. Water in the pools is 29-33°C warm. In the swimming pool area there is also a children´s pool, a large terrace with a cafe and a restaurant, and a volleyball playground.

Many visitors will be pleased to find here good conditions for angling, hunting, rock climbing and horse riding. The town of Trencianske Teplice offers a rich cultural and social life all the year round, among which the chambre music festival “Music Summer“ with international participation features prominently, as well as the film festival of art and artists called „ART FILM“.

Thermal Swimming Pool, Vrbov

The thermal swimming pool is situated in Vrbov, 7 km away from the town of Kezmarok, in the distance as the crow flies 8 km from the peaks of the High Tatras. The visitors to this place can enjoy seven pools filled with thermal water which is said to be the most effective curative water in Central Europe because of its favourable effect on the treatment of 12 diseases. It is especially effective in the treatment of joint rheumatism and inflammation, heart diseases , post-stroke cases, vascular diseases and asthma.

The swimming pool is open every day from 8.00 to 22.00, from 26 June to 31 August 1999.

Vysne Ruzbachy Swimming Pool

The thermal swimming pool is located in the area of Vysne Ruzbachy Spa, on the south-east foot of Spisska Magura, 623 m above the sea level, 15 km from the town of Stara Lubovna. The swimming pool area in fact has two pools with a diving platform, in the middle of the big pool there is an island overgrown with spruce and two children´s pools.

The pools are fed directly from the thermal spring called Izabela. The water´s temperature in the big pools is 21 -23° C and in the pools for children 25 -30° C. Near the pools there are wooden changing rooms with a terrace with a carved roof structure and grass areas. The pools are open all the year round. Refreshment is available.
