Presidents' letter

Dear Colleagues,

As the President of EFORT and the President of the Organizing Committee, it is an honour for me to inform you that the "3rd Congress of the European Federation of National Associations of Orthopaodics and Traumatology". will be held in Barcelona from 24 to 27 April 1997. The congress will be organized by the Spanish Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology.
Following the work started with our previous congresses in Paris and Munich, and due to the great amount of answers and participation requests we are receiving daily, we trust that both the scientific standard and the attendance and participation of our European colleagues. together with the remarkable collaboration of the industry in this line, will turn this 3rd EFORT Congress into the ideal framework for a meeting of the most important specialists in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology of Europe
Regarding the scientific programme, no end of interesting subjects are being distributed in Round Tables, Postgraduate lectures, Guest Lectures, Free Communications, Symposiums, posters, etc. We wish to encourage you to present your Communications, thus offering you the opportunity of taring an active part in the Congress and listening to the participations of different European colleagues. We wish to thank the collaboration of National Societies that, from their various countries, make up the great variety of professional opinions and viewpoints that will be expressed at the Congress.
The EORS Research Society Congress will be held on 22nd and 23rd and the EFORT will inaugurate its 3rd Congress on 24th; 25th will be devoted to the Specialties Day and 26th and 27th once again to the EFORT Congress. We are enthusiastically preparing an attractive social programme, in which concerts, art, dance, architecture, gastronomy and, in sum Spanish culture, will help to make your stay in Barcelona a pleasant memory of hospitality and work shared.
We have reserved a selection of the best hotels in Barcelona and wish to encourage you to send in your room reservations and registrations as soon as possible, in order to speed up the paperwork involved.
In the next Congress Announcements, we will inform you of the technical aspects and details, but meanwhile, rest assured that all the EFORT Executive Committee and the Organizing Committee is at your service for any enquiries you may have
Looking fonvard to see you in Barcelona, 1997, we remain,
Yours Sincerely
