A 30 year-old man who has weakness, deformity, and pain on rotation due to malunion of a distal radial fracture is undergoing corrective osteotomy. A dorsal opening wedge osteotomy with iliac crest graft has restored radial length and volar tilt, but there is now a marked reduction in passive pronation and supination of the forearm.
