ΕΡΩΤΗΣΗ
A 30 year-old man who has weakness, deformity, and pain on rotation due to malunion of a distal radial fracture is undergoing corrective osteotomy. A dorsal opening wedge osteotomy with iliac crest graft has restored radial length and volar tilt, but there is now a marked reduction in passive pronation and supination of the forearm. The next step in treatment is to

1. revise the correction of the radius until rotati
on improves
2. add an ulnar shortening osteotomy 3. perform a distal ulna excision
4. perform a hemiresection arthroplasty of the distal radioulnar joint
5. perform a distal radioulnar joint arthrodesis with proximal pseudarthrosis of the ulna.
