ΕΡΩΤΗΣΗ

A 4-year-old girl has had increasing left hip pain over the past 48 hours and has stopped walking. Her temperature is 38 gr.C (100.4 gr.F).Hip range of motion is limited. Aspiration of the hip reveals a WBC of 60,000/mm and rare Cram-positive cocci. The next step in management should be
1. multiple aspirations and lavage
2. antibiotics after culture results
